The Student Board of Orange Coast College banned saying the Pledge of Allegiance. You should read what the young man who proposed the ban, being an atheist and a socialist had to say in the article.
I’ve no problem with people saying the Pledge of Allegiance or not saying it. It’s an individual’s choice. In my opinion, banning it is oppressing the First Amendment in some ways.
Whether or not, it’s tradition in America to say the Pledge, I think people aren’t truly understanding what they are doing. Read the following link:
