Demonstrators stormed a Wal-Mart on the outskirts of Mexico City, accusing the U.S.-based retailer of selling low-cost goods at the expense of workers, farmers and public markets. About 250 protesters chanted “Out! Out!” in front of Wal-Mart’s corporate headquarters before entering the adjacent store.

Senator Tim Burchett decided to catch some thieves who had stolen a motorcycle from his warehouse a few weeks ago. So, deciding to catch the criminals themselves, he used his 2nd Amendment rights and held them until the police showed up. He noticed they were hungry and fed the kids cookies.

A source close to the investigation told ABC that Abramoff alleged that more than $30,000 in campaign contributions to Reid came from Abramoff’s clients. The lobbyist reportedly claimed that Reid agreed to help on Indian gambling issues, ABC said.

PHOENIX (Reuters) – A Nevada town passed a law this week making it illegal to fly a foreign nation’s flag by itself, the latest “swipe” by a U.S. community at illegal immigrants. The town council of Pahrump, voted 3-2 on Tuesday to make flying any foreign flag above the U.S. flag or alone an offense.
Comment: I put the word “swipe” in quotes to show the obvious bias against people who want to see illegal immigration put to an end. It’s a shame our mainstream media works in tandem with government and corporations to further their agendas.

Nobel Prize-winning economist Milton Friedman has died at the age of 94, according to media reports Thursday. Friedman, one of the most influential economists of the past century, died last night, the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site, citing an official at the Cato Institute in Washington.

Earlier this month, the UC Police Department at UCLA held its first annual recognition event to hand out numerous awards including – get this – “The Meritorious Service/Taser Award”. This event took place just several weeks before today’s news and video of reportedly excessive use of tasers on a student at a UCLA library. 3rd award down on page.

Some of you might have already seen the YouTube video of a UCLA student getting tasered by campus police for not having his ID. This statement about the investigation has been released by Acting Chancellor Norman Abrams on the UCLA home page. It has all the buzzwords to tell us that this will get buried under a mountain of bureaucratic red tape.
