US follows Roman Empire lead, Gives citizenship foreigners if they serve
January 3rd, 2007 . by ChrisThe Roman Empire used this tactic in the latter years of the Empire. The Roman Army was made up of foreigners from provinces distant to Rome, who gained Roman citizenship after completing their term of service. The US has just announced the same policy.
