Sen. Dodd calls for removal of Confederate flag
January 16th, 2007 . by ChrisU.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., called for the removal of the Confederate flag that flies at the South Carolina Statehouse as he attended a Martin Luther King Jr. memorial event at a Greenville church Sunday night.
Regardless of the Confederate flag issue, I thought this was in interesting article regarding a Senator involving himself in another state’s business. Why is a Connecticut senator in South Carolina anyway? This is the same as when US Senators go to China to negotiate deals and such. That is not their job.
It shows the Federal government can’t keep it’s nose out of state’s business to save it’s life.
