Sphere: Related ContentThe Sellout Senators and the White House are making their AMNESTY move TODAY! They are rolling out a new bill S. 1639. This bill is about the same as the old bill S. 1348, except it has some amendments added to cut deals with some Senators!
From the ALIPAC.US web site
For weeks, Americans were told that there are only two options for dealing with the nation’s illegal immigration problem: stay with the status quo or accept a “grand bargain”–a tenuous behind-closed-doors deal, first made public by The Heritage Foundation, which contained nearly 800 pages of flawed policies. In the face of overwhelming criticism from all sides, this legislation was withdrawn from the Senate.
Now, an altogether new bill (S. 1639) has been introduced by Senators Ted Kennedy and Arlen Specter. It seems to incorporate the previous legislation, with some amendments. After it is read into the Senate calendar on Wednesday, the Majority Leader will be able to proceed to consider this legislation anew at any time; debate is likely to follow later this week, with a final vote very soon thereafter.
This schedule will afford lawmakers even less time for consideration and deliberation than they had before. It will deny them the various procedures long associated with America’s deliberative lawmaking process–hearings, testimony, committee debate and amendments, floor debate, and the possibility of further amendments. Instead, according to reports, this legislation will proceed based on an altogether new and expedited procedure designed for the sole purpose of forcing the bill’s many ill-conceived policies over legitimate minority objections.
As it has before, for the sake of open deliberation and public education, The Heritage Foundation is making this legislation publicly available to encourage widespread debate and discussion. Heritage Foundation analysts will be reading this legislation and considering its implications–as will everyone outside the confines of the narrow group that conceived it–as quickly as possible.
Time to act fast folks, so get on the phone and start calling your Senators in your state and tell them to vote NO on cloture for S. 1639. It’s another Shamnesty bill and that Americans won’t tolerate it.
Thanks to William Gheen, President of Americans for LEGAL Immigration for giving us all a heads up!

Thanks for caring about your country, Andrew. You’ve joined the millions of other Americans who don’t want to see it brought to a third-world status.

Sphere: Related ContentExcluding Ron Paul from a “tax relief” candidates’ forum is like excluding Batman from an Anti-Riddler Convention. Even funnier is that these two organizations, in blacklisting Paul, reveal themselves to be even worse than the mainstream media they always criticize. An online petition in support of Paul’s inclusion in this event needs signatures.
Sphere: Related ContentIowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. When contacted by the Paul campaign staff, Mr. Edward Failor of Iowans for Tax Relief stated that Ron Paul was not invited, would not be invited, and would not be allowed to participate. Steve Sheffler of the Iowa Christian Alliance refused to return calls.
It appears that both groups are engaging in some very hypocritical behavior given the names of their organizations and the mission one would assume from those names. Ron Paul’s record clearly demonstrates his opposition to unfair and excessive taxation and his adherence to the Constitution clearly demonstrates his protection of religious freedom.
Both organizations should hear what the taxpayers and Christians in this nation think. It’s not just Iowa that is being censored. With such hypocritical and biased censorship there should be mass rebellion in both of these Iowa groups.
Here are the names of the groups, their representatives, and their contact information. Whether you’re a Ron Paul supporter or not, you should be concerned that any organizations so named would exclude a candidate with such a proven record. Perhaps both of these groups are controlled by entities other than their members.

Check out the Liberty Dollar, too, as an alternative currency.

Only 31 of 435 Representatives provide information about their earmark requests. Kudos to CNN for digging up some actual news besides Paris’s jail diet. Let’s not forget it works on both sides of the party.
Sphere: Related ContentThis is a prime example of why government should be kept under the stiff thumb of an educated electorate. Reid and his internationalist buddies are going to ram this down the throats of America regardless. It’s time to start voting these scoundrels out of office.
Sphere: Related ContentThis is so typical of the powers that be. Resurrect a piece of legislation that no one wants, add a few amendments to it, force the issue over a weekend or a holiday and shazammm!!!! you have yourself a slam dunk to to beat the band. I’m speaking of the immigration bill S.1348 of course. Reid says the Senate has an obligation to pass this bill. What the Senate really has is an obligation to abide by the U.S. Constitution and not add any further insult to the injury of not enforcing the laws already on the books. Nearly a thousand pages in this bill! The question is just how many have read it and the secondly no matter how much perfume you spray on dog doo, it’s sill dog doo. This legislation is no different that any other sham that’s been perpetrated on the American people only to be massaged after passage to remove any limiting provisions.
Ultimately, with the NAU - North American Union being flown in under the wire, this immigration legislation will be moot in less than three years. Once the NAU is in effect, it takes precedent over all immigration law so regardless, this is just so much smoke and mirrors.
