Conspiratorial Merger

September 30th, 2007 . by Robert

Many in the mainstream media and government have come out calling the concern over the North American Union / Security and Prosperity Partnership a figment of imagination, kookie paranoia, or a wacko conspiracy theory perpetuated by some fringe elements.

It took over 50 years to build the European Union from the European Coal and Steel Community. The EU was built from a “simple” trade agreement into a behemoth bureaucracy pushing for a United Nations style constitution for all of Europe. The North American Union is no different in that it will ultimately result in unelected bureaucratic agencies ruling all three nations. The North American Union is on a very fast track with numerous elements - seemingly unrelated - all coming together to accomplish in a few years what took the Europeans over half a century.

This article should be of interest if you are Canadian, Mexican and/or American:

I trust you are by now familiar with the European Union (EU) and its currency for trade the Euro. Well their have been and are likely continuing, discussion amongst senior officials from the Prime Minister of Canada and Presidents of Mexico and the US regarding the formation of a North American Union modelled on the EU with obvious differences in that the North American Free Trade Assoc ( NAFTA) will serve in the frame work of such a union.

A taskforce represented by the political and business elite of the three countries was established and their report amongst several recommendations on the matter states that this union should be established as early as 2010 – just twenty seven months from now.

Hillary Clinton: $5,000 for Every U.S. Baby

September 28th, 2007 . by admin

With approximately 4 million babies born in the US every year, this totals to $20 billion dollars given out. At age 18, they’ll be able to use the money accrued to buy a house or pay for college. What a great way to keep the socialistic behemoth our government has become fed. And what about the illegal immigrants with children born here?

U.S. Senate agrees to raise U.S. credit limit

September 28th, 2007 . by admin

Uncle Sam Ain't Got the Cash (Unless He Takes It From Us First! With the U.S. government fast approaching its current $8.965 trillion credit limit, the Senate on Thursday gave final congressional approval of an $850 billion increase in U.S. borrowing authority.

So 53 Senators thought it would be disastrous for the US Treasury to default, failed to see that they are doing nothing, but continually crippling this nation by raising the Credit/Debt limit of the United States.

Fifty-three Senators, obviously, thought nothing of putting you and I, the taxpayer, on the hook for another $300 or so BILLION dollars, so that they can continue the worthless bureaucracies and social programs that continue to hinder the American people.

Thankfully, Senator Tom Coburn (OK) had some sense about him and urged spending cuts.

“Families across America don’t have the luxury of loaning themselves any money when they’ve maxed out their credit. But that’s what we’re going to do,” Coburn said.

North Carolinians need to thank Senator Burr and Senator Dole for voting Nay on raising the debt limit.

“Increasing the debt limit is necessary to preserve the full faith and credit of the United States of America,” said Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley, the senior Republican on the Finance panel.

Someone should send Mr. Grassley a copy of G. Edward Griffin’s; Creature From Jekyll Island .  Maybe he’ll understand the complete picture…or maybe he does already.

The nations debt stood at $5.6 trillion at the start of George W. Bush’s presidency. Now it’s coming close to being DOUBLED in 7 years.

There’s something rotten in the state of Denmark, to quote Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

Link to the voting record

PS - The Senators that are running for President didn’t seem to think this was an important issue to vote on. Remember that when voting next year…

Is it getting colder or warmer?

September 24th, 2007 . by Robert

Seems that global warming advocate and NASA politico-scientist James Hansens’ theories are being called into question. The global cooling theories that is.

INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted 9/21/2007
But what about political hypocrisy? It’s clear that Hansen is as much a political animal as he is a scientist. Did he switch from one approaching cataclysm to another because he thought it would be easier to sell to the public? Was it a career advancement move or an honest change of heart on science, based on empirical evidence?

If Hansen wants to change positions again, the time is now. With NASA having recently revised historical temperature data that Hansen himself compiled, the door has been opened for him to embrace the ice age projections of the early 1970s.

Do Surveillance Cameras Really Make Us More Secure?

September 20th, 2007 . by Robert

London has 10,000 crime-fighting CCTV cameras which cost £200 million (roughly $400 million USD), figures show today.

But an analysis of the publicly funded spy network, which is owned and controlled by local authorities and Transport for London, has cast doubt on its ability to help solve crime.

A comparison of the number of cameras in each London borough with the proportion of crimes solved there found that police are no more likely to catch offenders in areas with hundreds of cameras than in those with hardly any.

In fact, four out of five of the boroughs with the most cameras have a record of solving crime that is below average.

The message is if you challenge authority you will regret it!

Is this the kind of country that we want our children to be raised in?

Better video footage without the smarmy Tucker Carlson. Beware, as it may have some language.
