I was visiting Roanoke Rapids, NC yesterday and happened to see this sign placed near one of the more impoverished areas in the city promoting “change”.  Obviously, signs such as this prey on uninformed voters and try to tell them that “our situation in the country will change, if you follow these three rules”.  Of course, it’s not a stretch to think Republican Party promoters wouldn’t push similar signs, though I’ve yet to see any.

Signs, such as these, dissuade the voter from critically thinking about the issues, the candidates and the election process itself.  It’s obvious that the promoters behind this sign are pulling out all the stops to have a Socialist in the White House to push whatever agenda they feel will benefit them.

A Wasted Vote

When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, “He cannot win.” Or, “I don’t want to waste my vote.” Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don’t think so.
