EU attacks ‘Buy American’ clause
February 3rd, 2009 . by adminThe EU has increased its pressure on the US to reconsider the “Buy American” clause in the $800bn (£567bn) economic recovery package now before Congress.
You see, this is what “Free Trade” is all about, enforcing unfair policies. This is where, in order to be “fair”, politicians think that by forcing US companies to buy their supplies abroad, that at home, it’ll expand trade and we’ll ALL prosper. Far from it. This harms suppliers in America who could sell at a lower cost to American companies producing goods and services.
It’s wrong and we need to get out of all the so-called “Free Trade” agreements that bureaucrats in Washington have bound our country to.
I say “Buy American”, anyway.
