Is it not clear yet?
September 17th, 2009 . by RobertOne has to ask, is it not clear yet that this government sweeping take over of health care is untenable? The America people overwhelmingly are opposed to such dramatic and over-reaching government intrusion into health care.
While most agree that reform is needed, a majority remain rightly skeptical of the government’s attempt to shotgun a poorly planned, excessively intrusive, and extremely expensive piece of legislation out there without considering the myriad unintended consequences that will wreak havoc across America.
Those of us who oppose such hastily composed expansion of government are not hysterical, we are not swayed by the fringe spouting exaggerations of the provisions, nor are we biased because of race or party. The fact is that many understand the ramifications of giving the government such far reaching authority to intervene in our lives. Many of us have seen the disastrous and failed attempts of our local, state, and federal government in such matters. Many also understand the spectrum of costs associated with such bureaucracies.
It seems that finally and only because of public outrage, we are seeing some Congressmen and Senators backing away from this disaster in the making.
It is obvious that our Congress and the Administration are out of touch with not only the American citizen but with reality itself.
