In a case that can only be looked at as the pot calling the kettle black, former Fed chairman Alan Greenspan says that if Congress takes back some of its rightful constitutional authority to regulate monetary policy, the Fed will not be able to control inflation and the economy.
Come on Alan, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that the Fed has already inflated the money supply with its expansionist policies. Realistically the value of the U.S. dollar has dramatically decreased which requires the exchange of ever more increasing quantities necessary to execute transactions. The only thing keeping price inflation in check is the well conditioned belief by the American public that our dollar still holds value. We are experiencing inflation in the form of tax and fee increases on the part of local, state, and federal governments.
The rest of the world is questioning whether the U.S. dollar should continue as the global medium of exchange because of the Fed’s expansionist (read inflationary) policies and the increasing debt being accumulated by the U.S. government.
The Fed like Congress and the President claims that the free market can’t operate without the “leavening hand of government.” Yes, it’s true that more free markets might be a little more wild and woolly in some instances, the fact remains that profit/failure incentives rather than bail outs have a profound effect on the risk practices of businesses.
The Fed should be audited (287 members of Congress agree) and then Congress needs to get control of the monetary policy as well as the spending policy.
Alan Greenspan was at the helm during the build up to our current Great Recession, are we now supposed to heed his words as being wise or should we pat him on the head, say “that’s nice Alan, now go play with your little friends and leave monetary policy to those who haven’t messed it up so badly.”

Acorn employee Tresa Kaelke says she was just playing along (for over an hour) and knew it was a setup the whole time. With the negative press, the Senate blocking their funding, and the Census Bureau rejecting their help, we’re supposed to believe that they were just playing along for the fun of it.
If you can truly say you believe the ACORN response, I’ve got some beautiful beach-front property right here in Rocky Mount NC, and I’ll sell it to you really cheap…

I would sincerely like to be optimistic and believe Mr. Bernake’s rhetoric about the recession being over but, when you look at what the experts are saying, it becomes very difficult to accept the Fed Chair’s rosy outlook.
The experts I’m referring to are the ones who saw the problem coming in the first place, not the Cramer-like individuals who are already calling a victory over recession and trying to convince us that bailing out banks, buying old cars, and pumping money we don’t have into the mortgage markets has won the day.
No, the experts I’m talking about are the ones who understand what caused the issue in the first place. While it’s typical to hear about how under-regulation lead to this crash, those who truly understand the problem tell a very different story that’s worth listening to.

Once again CNN reveals just how inept and incapable they are when it comes to reporting accurately. CNN is quick to fill in the blanks with assumptions, conjecture, and in some cases complete fabrications. Children gunned down in the streets of Honduras supporting their beloved deposed leftist president, gun boat gun battles on the Potomac, and it’s anyone’s guess what may be next?
This is one case where the White House should publicly lambaste CNN for such irresponsibility.
CNN certainly does a disservice to the American public and therefore should be held accountable by the public. The solution to this sort of yellow journalism is as close as the remote control – simply change the channel.
Looks like Reuters and Fox got in on the same fabricated news.

Well CNN the Collectivist Network of Nit-wits is at its lying best again. In their poll taken to supposedly assess the effect of Mr. Oama’s rhetoric laden speech last night, they have skewed the results as much as possible.
“The sample of speech-watchers in this poll was 45 percent Democratic and 18 percent Republican.”
Two and a half times as many Democrats as Republicans. Now that’s what I call fair and balanced!!! Let me guess, they probably used a list of prospective participants provided by ACORN.
Statistically the sampling is far too small to make any kind of determination of public opinion since there were only 427 viewers surveyed. This was hardly a sampling of public opinion especially depending on where the survey was conducted and how they compiled the list of participants.
We must never for a moment forget that CNN is NOT the bastion of truth – remember recently they reported the totally contrived story of an eight year old Honduran boy gunned down in the streets of Honduras by police supporting legitimate interim President Micheletti. I do have to say though that the contrived sincerity with which the CNN news anchor delivered the phony news was worthy of an Oscar.
In a less than scientific poll that I personally conducted today in a true cross section of Eastern Carolina working citizens, I found only 2 out of 14 who were gullible enough to actually believe that health care could be improved by adding layers of bureaucracy and that Mr. Obama is the oracle of fact.
8 out of the 14 had found new objections and cited flaws in the plan contrary to the rantings of Mr. Obama. 4 of the 14 had the same opinion opposing the plan as they did prior to watching Mr. Obama.
If you do choose to follow the link below to read the propoganda for yourself be prepared, it’s hard to stomach.

It appears that Mr. Obama and a hearty group of clapping seal elitist must think that the masses can’t reason beyond some thread-bare emotional rhetoric to realize that what he propagandized last night is nothing more than empty rhetoric. He is trying to defend a costly boondoggle by saying that the saving alone in making a failing system more efficient by creating 40 layers of government bureaucracy will pay for a trillion dollar program.
The existing government run health care programs are headed toward bankruptcy. Mr. Obama says we can make them more efficient, save money, and use the money to pay for the programs in this legislation. That’s somewhat like three plus four equals two. If the system is headed toward bankruptcy and you make it more efficient and less costly and then spend the savings are you not still spending the amount that was pushing you into bankruptcy? Oh wait… I forgot, there will be millions of new insured. We can simply apply that money to the program and not worry about giving them anything in return since they will be the demographic needing insurance the least but will be mandated to buy insurance anyway – like it or not.

California Assemblyman Mike Duvall R-Yorba Linda has been ousted because of overheard comments about his sexual escapades with female Lobbyist of legal age. While this conduct of bragging about his conquests and his immorality in conducting those conquests is certainly grounds for voters to eject him at the next election on poor character grounds, it seems very trivial when we have a Barbara Boxer in Washington chairing a committee directing money to her husband’s company, Charles Rangel failing to report millions in income, Geitner with income tax issues, a Sachs Goldman director given a one year waiver of conflict of interest so he can direct who gets TARP money, etc.
It does make for some juicy gossip but we really need to direct our attention to the corruption that impacts us and our nation every day.

Janet Napolitano and DHS recruiting Girl Scouts. Is this a little scary given the leftist slant in government today? While the message of being prepared is a good message, what scares me it who is doing the recruiting. Children are so impressionable and easily lead that having political appointees with distinct political philosophies in a position of influencing them is a very delicate situation. We have seen and are constantly dealing with an educational curriculum influenced by a leftist teachers union so it’s not being paranoid to be a little concerned and a lot watchful when agendized political appointees are at the helm.

While the breach in decorum constitutes an embarrassing faux pas it is hardly something to get worked up about. Congressman Wilson R-SC should have used a little discretion but considering we have a president who will not produce a credible birth certificate, who has know associations and training with leftist organizations, is attempting to foist a radical government take-over of the health care system, and did nothing to explain realisticly how “savings” in the existing system was going to pay for insurance for everyone – the slip pales in comparison.

It appears that the media, Oliver Stone, Hillary Clinton, Mr. Obama and the free-speech restricting leftist dictator Hugo Chavez think the general public is pretty gullible. Being fortunate in having a reliable source from Venezuela, one who still has family in Venezuela, has provided some credible insight into the methods of that socialist regime. While Oliver Stone claims that Chavez is maligned in the U.S., the reality is that he is running a typical leftist dictatorial regime complete with confiscation of property, land, and savings. He is no saint to his people and the reports of protests are beginning to see the light of day.
It seems that promoting leftist causes by Oliver Stone, Michael Moore, and other assorted hollywood refuse is cause de jour… although it probably always has been.
We know that both Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama received training in leftist Saul Alinsky’s organizations. Given the leftist training of both our Secretary of State and our President is there any wonder why Mr. Chavez wants to help them?
