NEW ORLEANS - President Bush has replied to criticism from Democratic presidential candidates and says that now is not the time to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement or to walk away from the accord.
Officials with the Spanish toll road operator Cintra have announced that the company has secured $430 million in loans from the U.S. government to build and operate two segments of a toll road in central Texas.
“It wasn’t a drop-by it was organized around her participation,” said one attendee. “Her remarks were totally pro-NAFTA and what a good thing it would be for the economy. There was no equivocation for her support for NAFTA at the time. Folks were pleased that she came by.”
Even further signs that the economy of the United States is shrinking and job loss is gaining due to corporate greed and unfair trade agreements, though experts agree that it’s not as “bad” as reported last week.
For much of the world, the United States is now on sale at discount prices. With credit tight, unemployment growing and worries mounting about a potential recession, American business and government leaders are courting foreign money to keep the economy growing. Foreign investors are buying aggressively, taking advantage of American duress and a weak economy.
For all the NAU deniers out there… There are currently around fourteen or more states with one form or another of anti-NAU legislation - either pending or passed; Vincent Fox has proudly proclaimed that the three amigos met about merger in 2005; and Robert Pastor has clearly stated that this union and a common currency are in the works (although he calls it a community rather than a union). The government denies it, the blindered dupes deny it, and the special interest sitting at the negotiating table deny it. Like so many other agendas, this one is being implemented piece-meal with numerous initiatives being simply pieces of a large puzzle. There is no lack of credible information out there that is easily accessible. With the passage of NAFTA in 1994, a new arrangement was rolled out by then President Bill Clinton. The new scheme was called the FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas). Currently that grand scam has been scaled back in implementation to the DR-CAFTA, the PFTA, the SPP and numerous other so-called agreements. The NAFTA super highways fit into this plan as does unchecked illegal immigration and loose border security. Hugo Chavez and now Stephen Harper are balking at being drawn in to this spider web of regional governance.
In order to further allay fears of unsafe Mexican cross-border trucks, satellites will be used to track service hours and such. How is tracking Mexican trucks with satellites going to keep them from driving unsafe trucks that don’t follow our regulations from killing people on the highway?
Sometimes vindication comes when it’s needed most. It appears that the media campaign to smear opponents of the North American Union is breaking apart. Long have politicians, the media, corporate representatives, and even our own government denied that the NAU (North American Union), FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas), DR-CAFTA (Dominican Republic - Central American Free Trade Agreement), NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), and the NAFTA super highways were anything more than dialogs intended to spur free trade and the movement of goods. Groups like the John Birch Society and other individuals such as Congressman Ron Paul, Congressman Virgil Goode, Congressman Walter Jones, Dr. Jerome Corsi (see America in Danger #154) and others are constantly attacked as being paranoid conspiracy kooks.
Now we have it straight from the horses mouth: former Mexican President Vicente Fox confirmed the existence of a plan conceived with President Bush to create a new regional currency in the Americas, in an interview last night on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” Fox explained the current regional trade agreement that encompasses the Western Hemisphere is intended to evolve into other previously hidden aspects of integration.
I’m not a fan of WND but Dr. Corsi is always well researched and accurate without the bias of many of the other writers on that site. Read it.
Many in the mainstream media and government have come out calling the concern over the North American Union / Security and Prosperity Partnership a figment of imagination, kookie paranoia, or a wacko conspiracy theory perpetuated by some fringe elements.
It took over 50 years to build the European Union from the European Coal and Steel Community. The EU was built from a “simple” trade agreement into a behemoth bureaucracy pushing for a United Nations style constitution for all of Europe. The North American Union is no different in that it will ultimately result in unelected bureaucratic agencies ruling all three nations. The North American Union is on a very fast track with numerous elements - seemingly unrelated - all coming together to accomplish in a few years what took the Europeans over half a century.
I trust you are by now familiar with the European Union (EU) and its currency for trade the Euro. Well their have been and are likely continuing, discussion amongst senior officials from the Prime Minister of Canada and Presidents of Mexico and the US regarding the formation of a North American Union modelled on the EU with obvious differences in that the North American Free Trade Assoc ( NAFTA) will serve in the frame work of such a union.
A taskforce represented by the political and business elite of the three countries was established and their report amongst several recommendations on the matter states that this union should be established as early as 2010 – just twenty seven months from now.
